Hoch Family Reunion, Thanksgiving 2003

This page is intended as a central resource for members of the extended Hoch family to obtain and exchange pictures, stories, poetry, and other materials pertaining to the descendents of the Hoch family. In order that this page might become a more expansive resource, I would like to put out a call to all those who were present at the recent reunion to send me, preferably digital, copies of the historical photographs that were displayed there, in addition to any other information that might be of interest to members of the family.

Small e-mail attachments can be sent to:
notb@hotmail.com

while CDs of scanned images can be mailed to:

In the next few days, I will attempt to post all the pictures I took at the reunion in Nebraska City. Please check back soon. In the meantime, here is the picture many of you may want- the group photo on the Lied Lodge stairs.
Hoch

If you would like a 'hardcopy' print of this image, there are several services that will do this for you. I heartily endorse one called 'Ofoto.com'. I have used them several times with above-satisfactory results.

If you are concerned with 'changing history', as Janelle was, in regards to the photo-retouching of the group shot linked to above, I sympathize with you. Here are the original images from which I distilled the final composite shot:
first exposure
second exposure
third exposure
fourth exposure
fifth exposure

These are also handy for anyone who thinks they can do a better job themselves at photoshopping together an image. To those people I say: "Hey! It's not my fault Joshua only stood still long enough to stick out his tongue!".

Finally, I would like to thank Nancy and Jim Hoch for their immense undertaking to organize the reunion, and all members of the families who attended for making it so enjoyable. It was a great pleasure for me to meet everyone, and I hope we will be able to keep these newly-formed connections alive, perhaps through pages such as this one.
